How much do you pay for gold?

Our office prices are listed on our website. Final prices will be determined at the time of the sale. Prices may vary based on the market movement.

Does it cost me any money to send my jewellery to Cash for Gold Australia?

Absolutely nothing, we will send you prepaid, pre-addressed, registered and insured gold mail pack to send us your items in it.

What if my jewellery got lost in the mail?

Our mail pack has a tracking number so you can track your pack any time and it is insured for the value of up to $100.00 by Australia Post.

What if I want to insure my items for more than $100.00?

You can do this at any Australia Post office for a small fee before sending your items.

Can I send my items myself or not?

Yes if you prefer to do that, but then you will pay for the postage and the insurance yourself.

Should I clean my jewellery or take out any stones before I send them?

No you do not have to, just send them as they are or you can do that if you prefer to.

Can I get a quote from you for my items before I send them?

It’s impossible for us to determine the value of your item for two reasons,
1- If we cannot see it, we cannot weigh it or price it.
2- The price of gold changes every day worldwide.

Can I get a quote before you process my payments?

Yes, it is a standard process that we email you our offer first, then you can decide if you want us to process your payment or send back your items.

How do you determine the value of my jewellery?

Valuations are solely based on the purity and weight of your gold, silver or platinum jewellery regardless of the condition. We do not purchase any stones or gems.
Also the prices listed on our website are only paid for face to face transactions at our office. Please contact our Melbourne head office for mail pack and home visit prices.

How soon can you pay me?

Within 24 hours of your acceptance of our offer (depending on your financial institution).

Can I send my items to your business from anywhere in Australia?

Yes, our prepaid mail pack covers Australia wide, so you can send your gold jewellery from anywhere in Australia.
